This Cookie Policy explains how KnowDish, operated by OUTBOX LABS LTD, uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the service.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small pieces of information that websites may store on or access from your browser or device.

Websites may also use related technologies such as:

• local storage;
• scripts;
• tags;
• pixels; and
• similar device-storage or access technologies.

These technologies can be used to operate a service, remember settings, maintain security and understand how people use a website.

3. Strictly necessary technologies

Some technologies are needed to provide functionality you request or to operate KnowDish securely.

These may be used to:

• maintain security;
• prevent abuse;
• remember your privacy choices; or
• provide functionality explicitly requested by you.

Where applicable law permits, strictly necessary technologies do not require consent.

4. Analytics technologies

We use optional analytics technologies to understand how KnowDish is used and improve the product.

We use a single analytics provider, PostHog, for product and web analytics, session replay, heatmaps and surveys.

PostHog does not start, set cookies or receive any data until you accept analytics. Until you choose, and for as long as you reject, no analytics, session replay, heatmap or survey technology runs.

Rejecting optional analytics will not prevent you from using the core KnowDish service.

5. PostHog

We use PostHog to understand how people use KnowDish and how individual product features perform.

PostHog may help us measure events such as:

• viewing a provider;
• viewing a meal;
• starting or completing a comparison;
• adding an item to a comparison;
• applying a filter;
• changing a sort order;
• using another KnowDish feature; and
• following a link from KnowDish to a meal provider.

PostHog also provides session replay, heatmaps and optional in-product surveys. Session replay and heatmaps help us see how people navigate and interact with the interface; surveys collect only the answers someone chooses to give. Section 6 explains what a replay does and does not include.

All of this runs only if you accept analytics, and stops if you later withdraw that choice.

6. Session replay and heatmaps

Interactions with KnowDish may be recorded so that we can understand how people use the site. A session replay reconstructs a visit from what happened in your browser: the pages you saw, and actions such as clicks, taps, scrolling, cursor movement and navigation from one page to the next. Heatmaps aggregate the same kind of interaction across many visits to show where people click and how far they scroll.

A replay is a reconstruction of the KnowDish interface, not a video of your screen. It does not capture your camera or microphone, other browser tabs or applications, or anything you do away from KnowDish.

We configure replay with privacy protections and will not intentionally use it to collect passwords, payment details, private free-text communications or other sensitive information.

7. Your choices

When you first visit KnowDish, our cookie controls ask you to choose between:

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings control in the KnowDish footer. Withdrawing consent stops further capture and clears the identifiers PostHog stored on your device.

We treat closing the banner without choosing as no consent, so analytics stays off until you actively accept it.

9. Advertising

KnowDish does not currently use behavioural advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and our consent controls before introducing them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, analytics configuration or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page.
